Market Closing NumbersThe Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA :10,402.35) closed out the day up a mere 9.5 points, or 0.1%. For the week the Dow closed above both its 10-week moving average and the 10,400 level for the first time since Jan. 15, thanks to a weekly gain of 3%.

The S&P 500 Index (SPX: 1,109.17) closed up 2.4 points, or 0.2%, bringing its gains for the week to 3.1%. The SPX ended the week north of the 1,100 level and its 10-week trendline for the first time since Jan. 15. Finally, the Nasdaq Composite (COMP – 2,243.87) also staged a weekly finish above its 10-week moving average for the first time since Jan. 15, and settled the week above 2,200 for the first time since Jan. 22. For the day, the COMP added 2.2 points, or 0.1%; for the week, the tech-rich index rose 2.8%.
