Personalized Energy – How to Solve the World’s Energy Problem With Water
Fascinating video from MIT Professor Dan Nocera, who believes he can solve the world’s energy problems with an Olympic-sized pool of water. Professor Nocera and his research team have identified a simple technique for powering the Earth inexpensively – by using the sun to split water and store energy – making the large-scale deployment of personalized solar energy possible.
The current problem with solar and batteries is Storage. This solves the problem. Not only does it make a tonne of sense, it’s actually doable on a massive scale in the not too distant future. Can’t wait to see the oil lobby fight this one if it gets some traction in the real world. (it’s a long video, but certainly worth your time to watch)
